The Children’s Room at Seymour Library offers books, magazines, movies, audiobooks and other materials that children love. We offer Storytimes, a summer reading program and special events that make learning fun.
Storytimes: Storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers are offered Tuesdays and Wednesdays through the school year. Pajama Storytime is offered monthly. Check the calendar for dates and times. No registration is required.
Summer programs: Summer programs encourage children to visit the library and keep their reading skills sharp. Summer events include performers, craft programs and Storytimes on the Lawn. Storytime on the Lawn is one of our most popular summer programs and is generally offered July through mid-August. No registration is needed for Storytime on the Lawn; just bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating.
The teen area: Books and magazines that appeal to young adults are available in a separate teen area.
